ERRO is derived from the word "ERROA" which means Root in Basque.
Saddlers for two generations, we wanted to pay tribute to our roots and heritage by creating a brand of leather goods inspired by saddlery and the surrounding countryside.
At the head of this project are five co-founders from the same family, with complementary skills: Jean Michel Devoucoux and his children: Noémie Devoucoux, Mathieu Devoucoux, Damien Devoucoux and their cousin Benoit Giannini Devoucoux.
Each of the co-founders has his or her own area of expertise within the founding team. Mathieu runs the production workshop, Benoit is in charge of business development, Jean-Michel is in charge of the technical side, Damien is responsible for product design and Noémie is in charge of administration and finance.
They employ around forty people in their manufacturing workshop in the trades of craftsmanship, logistics, quality, design, marketing and sales.
All ERRO leather bags and accessories are made by skilled craftsmen in our family-run family-run workshop in the south-west of France in the Basque Country.
ERRO leather goods are made by passionate saddlers and leatherworkers in our family-run workshop. Our artisan workshop employs 40 people with an average age of 32.
All ERRO pieces are handcrafted by passionate artisans. We combine tradition and modernity in the creation of our models.
We use smooth and grained bovine leathers from border tanneries (Italy and Spain). The hides come from the food industry and are LWG* Gold and Silver certified respectively.
Our certified leather suppliers are located in Spain and Italy. Our linen and yarn suppliers are in France. Packaging and drums are also designed in France. For buckles, we work with a French company with a factory north of Hong Kong. We are currently working on sourcing in order to be able to offer 100% European-made buckles by 2025.

Once a year, we offer you a complete in-store maintenance service for your leather goods.
All ERRO bags are eco-designed and repairable for life. Each part has been assembled in such a way as to allow disassembly and replacement in the event of breakage or wear.
If your bag is broken or damaged due to a manufacturing or design defect, we will pay for all repairs within 24 months of purchase.
If you have accidentally broken or damaged your bag, we offer a made-to-measure repair service. Repair costs are calculated individually and quoted on request.

The bags have been designed with durability and repairability in mind. Each part has been assembled in such a way that it can be replaced if necessary. This means they can be repaired for life in our own workshop.

We offer an annual maintenance service for your leather goods. This consists of a thorough cleaning and moisturizing of your piece to keep it looking its best.
This service is available in ERRO boutique and offered by the company.
You will be asked to leave your leather goods with our team for a minimum of 24 hours.
